Job description
Cidon Construction is currently seeking an experienced Plant Fitter to join our existing team in Barnsley. You will be responsible for repairing, maintaining and servicing our fleet of operated plant including excavators and dumpers, as well as compressors, generators, power tools, access towers and other as required etc. Experience with maintenance of plant is essential - vehicles is also preferrable.
This role will be based from our depot, and from our construction sites to carry out repairs, servicing and inspections. Travel to sites throughout the UK will be required.
Some of the role will include:
- Ensuring machines are serviced and or inspected as appropriate, and in time to ensure commitments to our sites can be achieved.
- Ensuring all repair work as a result of damage is recorded and paperwork is raised in a timely manner.
- Providing own hand tools and ensuring tools are used correctly, adequately maintained, tested before use, and securely stored.
- Manage all required parts as necessary to carry out repairs and managing Van stock
- Competent in welding tasks on plant and other equipment as required.
- Carrying out cosmetic repairs to plant machinery including panel replacement and touch up painting.
- Competent in Electrical repairs, diagnostics and fault finding on mobile plant including excavators, dumpers and telehandlers.
- Adhere to Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality processes to ensure we are compliant at all times

Experience:
- Experience in a fitter role
- Hydraulics experience
- Electrics experience
- Fully Qualified
- Full clean Driving License
