We have opportunities to develop as a Paralegal apprentice across varying legal specialisms, including, Planning, Construction and Residential Property.
of Paralegal Apprentice provides essential support to one of our legal teams, whilst studying for your Paralegal qualification. This is a full time position for 24 months, with one day per week dedicated to your studies with BPP University.
From day one you'll have hands on experience, working alongside our fantastic lawyers. You'll have the opportunity to gain a unique insight into how a successful law firm operates, and delivers for its clients. If you're enthusiastic about a career in law, a Paralegal Apprenticeship gives a great head start, with the option on successful completion, to continue onto a solicitor apprenticeship.
This role comes with plenty of variety - you'll support fee earners with different legal matters and transactions, as well as preparing documents, assisting with client files and managing key deadlines.
Who you are
To be considered for this role you will have excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to use your own initiative in a fast paced environment. You will be interested in pursuing further education whilst learning a variety of skills essential to a career in law.
We know you're at the very start of your career, so we don't expect you to have the 'full package' - what we are looking for is, potential.
Provided that you enjoy communicating with others, you're a good team player, you love nothing more than being organised and you're hungry to learn, we can help with the rest!
This Apprenticeship will be a challenge at times, so a 'can do', resilient attitude is a must. You'll need to be prepared to take ownership, prioritise your work and meet deadlines as required.
Your working hours will be, 9am - 5.15pm, Monday - Friday. Whilst we do offer hybrid working, you'll need to be able to get into our office, on the outskirts of Exeter.
