The role

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Bristol is looking to appoint further members of our successful Faculty Executive team. We need more enthusiastic administration assistants to provide information for students and staff at key reception areas across campus. We currently have a full time (35 hours) and a part time (14 hours) opportunity available.

What will you be doing?

Working as a ‘building expert’ you will be answering a wide variety of enquiries in person, by phone and email from staff, students and visitors at one of the engineering sites. You will ensure the building is presented to a high standard, providing support to academic colleagues. You will become familiar with a wide range of University processes for courier services, parcel delivery, booking rooms and sourcing catering, reporting maintenance issues, allocating visitor cards, directing students.

You enjoy a physically active, varied day. At times you will work independently as well as being a member of our cohesive team. This is a public facing role and experience in dealing with customer satisfaction issues is helpful. You will need to be able to prioritise in a calm and efficient manner. Excellent interpersonal skills with staff, students and visitors is our priority.
