Job description
An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive and motivated individual to be the Executive Support Assistant to the Director of Education and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
The purpose of the role is to provide a comprehensive, coordinated and efficient support to the Director and ensure that their strategic activities achieve maximum impact and efficient service delivery.
You will need to have a good understanding of the statutory duties, codes of practice and KCC’s democratic process. Proven experience of providing excellent executive support to senior managers is a pre-requisite of the role. You must have excellent written and oral communication and diplomacy skills and the ability to work in a confidential environment with integrity. You will need to be reliable, flexible, and resilient whilst able to stay focused and motivated and the ability to remain calm when facing many conflicting priorities is key within this position. You should also have recent line management and supervision experience.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
Please note, you will be required to work out of the Maidstone office at least once a week. There is also a requirement to travel to various locations around Kent for meetings/briefings etc in a timely manner.
