Job Description Summary
The Insights and Ringfencing team sits within Group Audit & Conduct Investigations (GA&CI) and works closely with the Chief Internal Auditors, Executive Team and Heads of Audit playing an integral role in providing rich insight relating to the Group’s risk & control framework. This is an outstanding opportunity to support work with high visibility at a Board level.Primarily supporting the Senior Manager for Insights and Ringfencing with timely production of high-quality Board and Group Executive level reporting, you'll prepare both quantitative and qualitative information. A strong ability to express complex ideas clearly and succinctly while being highly numerate is key to deliver the level of quality that Board and Group Executives expect.
An ability to develop a deep understanding of new and complex content, as well as having a broad understanding of the Group’s structure, strategy and key risks, business areas, product and customer groups will be highly advantageous to interpreting and presenting risk and control insights in appropriate context.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Work collaboratively to provide timely, relevant and high-quality Executive and Board reporting for the Chief Internal Auditors to present to GEC and Board level committees and stakeholders.
- Support GA&CI through the annual planning process to create the Audit Plan.
- Understand the requirements of Ring-fencing as they pertain to GA&CI, and support the wider team in ensuring they are complied with.
- Work closely with the office of the Group Audit Director to provide rapid and accurate responses to ad-hoc data analysis and insight queries.
- Manage the flow of insight data and production of consolidated reporting activities, including coordinating contributors as necessary to ensure reporting is produced on a timely basis.
- Provide the first point of challenge to contributors in terms of adherence to the brief, formatting and quality expectations of Executive & Board reporting.
- Support the wider COO team to spot opportunities to use advanced analytics and data science techniques to automate and improve insights and reporting.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships across GA&CI and engage cross functionally to optimise business results.

- Prior experience in a Risk, Audit, Insights, or Executive Support role would be beneficial, but is not essential.
We are a small team, working collaboratively with the wider function to keep the Group safe. GA&CI have three main hubs in Edinburgh, London and Bristol with occasional travel required between hubs. In line with the rest of the Group, all colleagues in GA&CI work from a hub location a minimum of two days a week.
