Executive PA to CFO
Home based (with occasional travel to London/Manchester)

We are looking for an experienced Executive PA to our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide a full secretarial service. We are looking for candidates with some subject matter experience in Finance and a proven track record at Executive PA level. You will need to be able to critically analyse requests that come into the diary, understand where we are at in the bank’s financial calendar and be able to manage external stakeholders with a finance lens. We are looking for proactive and proficient candidates who can manage, anticipate and direct requirements
Key Accountabilities:
- Operational management and smooth running of the Executive Office by supporting the CFO and DOF in general daily activities including the preparation and distribution of routine and confidential information, preparing presentations, special reports, data gathering, summarising and analysing information.
- Diary management of the CFO and DOF's diary whilst utilising software/technology to best effect to ensure they are run efficiently, including allowing sufficient preparation time prior to meetings.
- Monitoring and management of the CFO’s busy mailbox, checking for responses; bringing urgent matters to CFO’s attention and archiving ‘dealt with’ emails to maintain her inbox at a manageable level and check nothing has been overlooked.
- Administrative tasks i.e. raising and receipting purchase requisitions; organising IT equipment and system accesses for new starters; co-ordinate the forms on-boarding of new suppliers as required by Accounts Payable;
- Travel: Always look for advanced bookings in order to secure accommodation in peak times and also save money on train travel when early bookings allow. Suggest alternative times to travel if there is a big difference in ticket fares.
- Understanding key Corporate/Company decisions, strategies and policies to fully support the CFO and DOF; anticipate requirements and take the relevant action as required. Balancing both ExCo and Board role deliverables for the CFO and related coordination with stakeholders and related business matters.
- Budget Management including responsibility for raising, releasing and goods receipting Purchase Orders. Identify anomalies and budget variances and share information department spend
- Building effective relationships across the organisation and beyond, including Board and Executive team members and their PAs.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience of working as a senior PA supporting Board of Management, international shareholders and Bank advisors
- Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office products and virtual communication tools
- A good understanding of the FCA regulatory landscape would be preferable in order to fully understand and translate specific meeting actions.
- Previous experience of working in a business that includes budgets and financial performance, governance, controls and compliance, business strategy and people development as key topics for discussion.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues, international stakeholders, outsourced service providers, dealers, clients and customers.
- Highly effective problem solving skills, easily able to juggle competing demands and priorities and meet challenging deadlines
