Job description
Created just over a year ago, Group Partnerships is a pan-BBC team which exists to maximise the impact and value that our portfolio of 500+ partnerships create for our audiences, the BBC and our partnering organisations. The team is also responsible for delivering specific major UK campaigns, events and UK national moments such as the BBC Centenary and the City of Culture.
Joining our team will provide an ideal opportunity for someone keen to take on a unique new challenge and play an integral part in developing a new approach to working with partners to develop high impact content ideas that bring value to our audiences and partner organisations alike .
This is a full-time permanent role, based in London with some UK travel required. It is hybrid role with minimum 3 days office based.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs Executive Development Producer, BBC Partnerships you will work with external partners and content commissioning colleagues, to develop content ideas that will delight audiences and bring our partnerships to life. You will take the lead on a small number of large scale, pan BBC projects working closely with partners and colleagues in commissioning and production to deliver high impact content.
Other key responsibilities include:
- To drive collaboration and partnerships both internally and externally to help fulfil our creative ambitions.
- To commission insight analyse relevant market data and audience consumer trends, to provide forecasting intelligence which drives new development ideas & new campaign opportunities, in a creative way, across all appropriate platforms
- To provide clear direction, editorial insight and quality control for both ongoing and newly commissioned projects.
- Working as an integral part of the Group Partnerships team to maximise the impact of the BBC partnership portfolio.
- To develop strong relationships with external partners, employing best-in-class relationship management to ensure productive and creative partnerships
Are you the right candidate?
You will have extensive experience of making content, with a clear editorial vision, specifically an understanding of developing and delivering appropriate content to the most relevant platform.
You’ll have a proven track record of high-quality content delivery, working successfully with partners, and collaborating with colleagues to build strong, productive and creative working relationships.
You’ll be adept at collaboration and with a proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels. You’ll be able to demonstrate success at negotiating and communicating effectively with both internally and with external partners, including co-production partners or similar. You’ll enjoy breaking new ground and working in a dynamic and rapidly evolving area.
