Levy UK are on the lookout for a fantastic and creative Executive Chef at one of our amazing London venues!

NATURE AND SCOPE OF ROLE:


To lead the culinary vision upholding the Levy Promise and ethos to serve authentic, local, seasonal, and sustainable food across the venue reporting into the venue Director. Working alongside the Business Director, to continuously improve standards, increase the quality and presentation of match / event day catering and in line with our Levy net zero targets, drive profit in a sustainable manner for the above-named sites.



GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


In liaison with other lead chefs, create an innovative culinary vision and concepts across the venue work streams



Drive quality, presentation, and flavour. Innovate, Challenge and Deliver



Set standards to increase the quality of C&E, Exhibition & retail offers and ensure all food standards are met across all areas



Report and deliver quarterly food and drink trends



Drive and support a team vision around sustainability, sourcing and seasonality



Support the wider Levy team as required



Support on the Training and Skills Hub project in the London region



Play an integral part in delivery of retail



Engage and integrate into the Levy Culinary leadership team



Take responsibility for co-ordinating, training and the delivery of all dish development



Plan, lead and execute projects both individually or part of a team to achieve desired standards



Attend leadership team meetings



Support & input in C&E planning as required

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:



Implement a 2 year Chef succession plan



Provide support and guidance to create strong teams with a joined up culinary vision



Pre plan with venue Staffing & Head Chef to ensure adequate resources are available



Maintain in-depth technical knowledge and skills required for the role



Actively seek verbal feedback from our clients on a regular basis



Agree and implement actions to make improvements to food service



Embrace apprentice opportunities



Promote a people first culture across all areas of responsibility



Working with Lead HR Business Partner & Head of L & D, to ensure development and succession plans are in place.



Support team to achieve Levy net zero targets

THE PERSON

  • Proven track record of delivering large scale C&E events
  • Excellent culinary skills
  • Broad product knowledge and passion for a wider range of food offerings in C&E, Exhibition & retail
  • Have worked and participated in a senior culinary community and supported with concept development and implementation of new food concepts.
  • Is an advocate of sustainability by supporting waste management, reducing plastics, reducing salt and sugar whilst championing plant based dining.
