Executive Assistant to CEO

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Hours Per week: 40

The Executive Assistant will proactively develop and deliver a comprehensive organisational, administrative and management support service to the CEO and Executive Director of People and Organisation Development. The role will oversee the smooth running of the CEO office and support in the preparation of all meetings, visitors and tasks as directed. The Executive Assistant will also support the good functioning of the Board of Trustees in all related matters and be an excellent communicator, managing the Board cycle and be familiar with working at a Project Management level (PMO).

The role of an Executive Assistant within the Service involves:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for the CEO, both internally and externally
  • Anticipating needs and acting accordingly and proactively
  • Supporting the CEO in all Human Resources tasks (contracts, recruitment, correspondence etc)
  • Supporting the CEO in order to ensure the timely delivery of key projects
  • Ensuring that various administrative tasks are done in an effective and efficient manner
  • Ensuring documents and records are maintained and archived, in line with the data policy
  • Being responsible for the planning, scheduling and coordination of agendas
  • Undertaking special projects for the CEO
  • Handling confidential information in a professional and discreet manner
  • Complying with policies, procedures and guidelines for good practice

Requirements for the Executive Assistant role:

  • Previous experience within an Executive Assistant role
  • Experience in organising and managing corporate events
  • A good understanding of the Healthcare sector
  • Strong IT skills (outlook, Microsoft 365)
  • Valid UK driving license
  • Ability to travel and stay overnight, as required
  • Qualification in relevant subject i.e. Business Administration, secretarial diploma, secretarial studies.
  • Experience of working within the third sector
