We are looking to recruit a permanent Executive Assistant to help support our Chief Executive Officer and Assistant Director for Contract Performance & Compliance.
Who are we?
We are the NIHR Coordinating Centre funded by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) hosted by the University of Southampton. As part of the NIHR we help to fund, enable and deliver world-leading health and social care research which helps turn discoveries into new or improved treatments, diagnostics, medical technologies and services. We are also a major funder of applied health research in low and middle income countries.
What will you do?
Our Executive Assistants are a crucial part of our team, helping to support our directors and external customers. You will provide comprehensive and efficient support, and this will include:
- Diary management.
- Liaising with senior stakeholders.
- Manage, organise, and attend meetings/events.
- Filtering problems and enquiries.
- Providing advice and guidance where appropriate.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed team player with experience within an Executive Assistant style role. Some of the key attributes you need to be successful in this role are:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and prioritise your own work.
- Ability to manage projects with a strong attention to detail.
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Have the ability to problem solve.
- Previous experience of diary management is advantageous.
