The Engineering function at the GSK Ware Manufacturing and Supply site is responsible for the provision of technical expertise to support the manufacturing, automation and controls systems for all production operations to ensure production targets are achieved.
The Ware site is now looking for a new Electrical Engineer to join our team. The role is a key part of the Utilities and Facilities team at the Ware manufacturing site.
The role is responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to enable the effective management and implementation of Projects, Electrical Maintenance, Energy Management and Process Safety within GSK’s Ware manufacturing site. To act as secondary technical authority to ensure the electrical assets and site infrastructure complies with all relevant GSK and National Standards.
Key Responsibilities (include);
- To manage site Electrical Maintenance program of systems assigned to you to ensure safe operation.
- To provide a comprehensive specialist and technical support service to all Site Engineering functions.
- To manage and maintain Site Electrical Standards and Guides to ensure compliance with all statutory legislation and internal group guides.
- To ensure that all Electrical project works are completed to required standards within cost and time program milestones.
- Integrate and influence technical delivery of Projects of strategic importance to the Utilities and Facilities team, such as BMS Upgrade and electrical Infrastructure Facility remediation projects
- Be a member of the Site Energy Management committee to manage and co-ordinate all Site Energy Saving initiatives.
- Development of Energy saving best practice and innovative initiatives to ensure sustainability.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Investigate and complete Deviation Reports, Corrective Action/Preventative Action Reports, Outlier Reports, assist with other investigations.
About You:
This role would suit a motivated person who has strong experience of working in a complex GMP environment. You will be a qualified engineer (eg; CEng) with strong people skills. You will have a proven ability to drive performance (it is imperative in this role that you demonstrate an ability to drive common-thinking, with a complete focus on providing solutions). You will be a good team player in a matrix organisation. Knowledge/Experience in Electrical Engineering is a pre-requisite for the role.
About Ware Manufacturing Site:
Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form. The site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company’s pipeline of new medicines in these dose forms, many of which are life saving medicines. A series of investments in new state-of-the-art equipment are being made that will support the delivery of a record number of new products.

Basic Qualifications:
Relevant qualifications and / or experience (eg; Electrical Engineering Qualification and experience in Electrical Engineering position).
Experience with electrical system design, installation, maintenance, inspection and testing.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Knowledge of specific process safety codes, regulations, and requirements
