Location: Head Office, Nottingham (hybrid working)

We have an exciting, brand-new opening for an experienced Executive Assistant to join our team!

The Nottingham Building Society is going through an exciting transformation, this role will be an integral part of the CEO Office, working very closely with the other Executive Assistants, Chief of Staff and Business Manager as part of a close, collaborative team.

This role plays an essential part in enabling the Executive Team to focus on the high-level leadership and strategy by supporting with the day-to-day functions that are part of the Executive’s role that you support.

This is an exciting and fast-paced role which will be important in co-ordinating and managing multiple stakeholders for the Executives therefore multitasking and strategic calendar management will be fundamental.

Whilst the role is to support the Executives and Chief of Staff, you’ll be free to work independently. A forward-thinking individual who can think on their feet and manage their workload confidently is an important success factor for this role.

Here’s a taste of what you will be doing as an Executive Assistant at The Nottingham -

  • Provide an efficient, proactive, and confidential personal assistance service to the Executives and Chief of Staff
  • Work closely with the Chief of Staff and Business Manager to effectively implement the operating rhythm of the business (i.e., regular meeting cadence, communication cascades)
  • Manage and co-ordinate the Executives’ diary, scheduling appointments and meetings, co-ordinating all relevant briefings/papers
  • Manage, co-ordinate and screen each Executive’s email inbox, using your knowledge of functional and business priorities to flag/alert/handle e-mails
  • Be the face of the Executive Team by providing a high level of customer service to all visitors and stakeholders (internal and external), acting as the first point of contact, dealing with incoming calls and mail
  • Manage any complaints sent to the Executive Team, passing these to relevant internal parties, ensuring the Executive is kept up to date with the responses appropriately and providing a high level of customer service
  • As required, prepare, update and co-ordinate presentations and reports and analyses which are impactful and readily comprehensible, and often of a highly sensitive and confidential nature

What we’re looking for –

  • An experienced Executive Assistant, ideally with a minimum of circa 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint – with the ability and confidence to create presentations as needed
  • A people-focused individual with good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to use own initiative to resolve matters within own remit and prioritise others for resolution
  • A pro-active, positive, and collaborative approach is essential
  • The role has exposure to highly sensitive information which requires absolute confidentiality and discretion – the ability to be discreet and manage highly confidential information is essential
