Executive Assistant

Salary – up to £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus bonus and benefits

We are currently looking for an Executive Assistant to provide professional EA support to our Executive Directors in Sale. This is an exciting opportunity to act as an ambassador for the Executive Team, and SBG when interfacing with internal and external stakeholders. This role would suit an individual with previous EA experience, operating at Senior levels, looking for their next challenge!

This role offers you the opportunity to:

  • Proactively assist Executive Directors in all aspects of day to day business activities.
  • Plan workload and arrange all meetings to ensure priorities are reviewed and preparatory reading material is available.
  • Provide one to one EA support to the Executive, including diary and inbox management, organising travel, processing expense claims and managing holiday requests
  • Collect and collate monthly departmental reports, to facilitate the Executive and Board reports within the required timeframe.
  • Action production of meetings and reporting schedules for the year ahead.
  • Adhere to the terms of reference of the Governance meetings, ensuring that accurate minutes and actions are recorded and available within the required timeframe.
  • Ensure that all committee actions are recorded on the matters arising schedules, actions followed up and updates provided before the next committee meeting.
  • Act as ambassador for SBG Governance standards.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Executive, and SBG when interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects and duties as and when required, to support the needs of the business or to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Work collaboratively to contribute to a successful EA Network within SBG.
  • Provide executive assistance to the SBG Exec Risk and Compliance Committee, taking ownership and responsibility for the committee meeting.
  • Take minutes and facilitating the production of the agenda, meeting packs and following up on actions.
  • Provide executive assistance to the SBG Board Risk and Compliance committee, by facilitating to the production of the agenda, meeting packs and following up on actions.
  • Co-ordinate and plan business meetings and site events.

  • Previous EA / strong administration experience is essential.
  • Comprehensive minute taking and action tracking ability is essential.
  • Experience of working at Senior Director level.
  • Previous experience within Financial Services would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales.
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels, acting on your own initiative.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Adaptable, flexible and pragmatic by nature.
  • Strong attention to detail.
