About the opportunity
We are recruiting for an Executive Assistant, in to step into a brand-new role, created to provide a personal and confidential secretarial service.
This is a fantastic role for someone who thrives in working in a fast-paced environment. The Executive Assistant will report into the People and Culture Director whilst also providing administration support to the Managing Director – UK and Ireland Hire, Transformation Director and the Marketing and Sustainability Director.
Role Responsibilities
- Proactive diary and schedule management to include forward planning, arranging meetings, organising workshops, and confirming day to day appointments
- Manage all arrangements associated with meetings and workshops including the agenda, catering and travel itinerary and associated bookings, both national and international.
- Understand the standrad meeting schedule for the Executive team and ensure diaries are updated and managed for the members of teh team that this role supports
- Effectively and efficiently deal with telephone calls, emails, and visitors either internal or external, always maintaining a high quality and professional service.
- Produce any required documentation which may include organisation charts, reports, agendas, and correspondence accurately and in a timely manner.
- Arrange and organise leadership workshops, company strategy events, team away days and other engagement events as required
- Arrange functional or business conferences as required for each area
- General administration as required
Role Details
- Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
- Annual Bonus
- Role based: York, YO32
- Contract type: Permanent
- Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays

Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience providing a confidential and discreet secretarial service to executives
- Is an experienced user of Microsoft Office
- Has excellent planning and organisation skills
- Is self-motivated
- Has exemplary communication and listening skills
- Can proactively manage their own time
- Has a Full UK Driving Licence
