About the Trust
Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) provides high quality, safe and innovative care to our patients in the community, in their homes or in hospital.
We provide services for adults of working age, adults with learning difficulties, and older people in the London area. We currently deliver most of our care to residents in the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington. However, we also provide substance misuse services in Westminster, and a substance misuse and psychological therapies service to people living in Kingston.
What you’ll be responsible for:
· Work autonomously, exercising judgement and initiative on behalf of the Executive Director(s) in providing the full range of Executive Assistant support.
· Proactively manage the Executive Director(s) diaries, communications and workflow, initiating and taking action independently, bringing urgent matters to their attention, solving problems independently and using own initiative.
· Lead on tasks and projects assigned by the Executive Director(s), ensuring they are planned, managed and delivered effectively.
· Prepare agendas for meetings, take formal minutes and circulate actions from minutes as required.
· Work with the Trust Headquarters Office Manager and other EAs to provide cross cover ‘buddy’ support to the other Executive Directors’ during planned and unplanned absences.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Minimum of two years in an administrative / EA role within a large complex NHS organisation or similar environment
· Demonstrate experienced in working at Executive EA level and being able to communicate with senior members of staff, external stakeholders, varied professional groups, patients, carers and the public.
· Ability to plan and organise diaries, meetings and take formal minutes
· Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines in a fast-paced office environment
· Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
· Excellent organisational and time management skills
· Excellent practical experience in the use of the full suite of Microsoft office packages
