Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.
Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Executive Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative Assistance: Delivering efficient and high-quality administrative assistance including but not limited to schedule and diary management, email management, meeting secretariat, hiring support and tracking status of hiring on behalf of leadership team, travel booking (inc. visa requirements) and expense management
- Events Logistics: Coordination of logistics for key events including but not limited to organising and coordinating schedules, facility booking, speaker booking and event collateral preparation
- Employee Compliance Monitoring: Provide support to Senior Managers to monitor employee compliance with applicable policy and procedures e.g. outside business activities, mandatory training, business continuity plan & objective tracking etc
- Delegated Approvals: Exercise sound judgment with delegated approval authority for employee requests e.g. Service Now, holiday booking & timesheets
- Project Management: Supporting on Adhoc projects based on demands from the Leadership team
- Stakeholder management: Serve as the primary point of contact and gatekeeper between senior management and internal and external stakeholders. Prepare correspondences, maintain records and reports, and facilitate internal communications such as information distribution and preparing presentations
- Organisation & Prioritisation: Excellent organisation skills with the ability to anticipate the needs of senior management, think critically and proactively, prioritise items for attention and offer solutions to problems. Needs to be able to work independently in alignment with direction provided
- Business Support Continuity & Continuous Improvement: Provide cover as appropriate for other Executive Assistants and knowledge share best practice to drive the continuous improvement and operational excellence for the team
Essential Skillset/Experience:
- Experience in supporting, communicating with and providing assistance to senior managers in a multinational organisation with proven ability to demonstrate integrity and judgment in handling sensitive matters
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group
- Ability to prioritise workload and respond to changing and varied demands. Recognise and act upon timely escalation of issues
- Demonstrate professionalism at all times and be resilient when working under pressure
- Strong Microsoft Office skills desirable
The role will be based in Birmingham.
