Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Acting as the first point of contact for two Deputy Directors - successfully managing their inbox, to ensure they are aware of all relevant correspondence, communicating all urgent and time sensitive actions directly. This involves some inbox management and delegating e-mails on the Deputy Director’s behalf.
- Effective management of diaries – arranging meetings, printing, collating and distributing papers, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Organising travel and hotel bookings and arranging logistics for departmental meetings and other events in the department.
- Forming and maintaining strong working relationships across the team and wider FCDO
- Taking responsibility for specific deliverables as required by the Deputy Director.
- Providing leave cover for other Executive Assistants in the directorate
The role may involve occasional travel to other UK offices.
