Etcembly is a rapidly growing biotech company based in Harwell, Oxfordshire. We specialize in next-generation TCR design and engineering, combining Machine Learning and Drug Development. As we expand, we are seeking a highly competent Executive Assistant to support our Leadership Team. Our mission is to develop new cures for cancer and autoimmune diseases, and we need an EA who is determined and passionate about helping us achieve these goals.
We are a dynamic company that has grown from two people to 30, who embodies a start-up mentality with an all-hands-on-deck approach. As an Executive Assistant, you will directly support the CEO, CTO, and the wider Leadership Team in ensuring smooth daily operations. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including organising travel and speaking engagements, managing diaries and meeting arrangements, taking accurate minutes during board meetings, liaising with external stakeholders, and coordinating the team's activities.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide executive support to the leadership team.
- Coordinate meetings and appointments.
- Organise board meetings and accurately record minutes.
- Manager all travel arrangements.
- Efficiently handle incoming communication, filter, and prioritise correspondence for the CEO/CTO.
- Liaise with external stakeholders.
- Coordinate the induction process for new employees.
- Collaborate closely with our external HR Consultant, as required.
Person Specification
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised individual with proven experience supporting executive-level leaders, preferably in a start-up or scale-up environment. You should approach work with enthusiasm and a collaborative mindset, demonstrating the ability to influence and motivate others effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial.
- Relevant experience as an EA or personal assistant at the board level.
- Tenacious with a proactive approach and a high level of initiative.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and manage senior executives.
- Adaptable mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Previous start-up experience is desirable.
- An interest in the field of science and research is also desirable.
This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of three days office-based work. Ideally, you will be located in South Oxfordshire. We actively support flexible working patterns within the company.
