The role
As an Executive Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We need you to provide support to our Mission Systems Directors by anticipating their needs, whilst planning and orchestrating their schedules. You will provide wide-ranging and professional support to ensure the smooth running of the directors’ workload. As part of a small but highly effective team, you’ll role model our behaviours making a positive impact on those around you.
Day to day, you’ll:
- Coordinate complex schedules by managing diaries, organising meetings and appointments, using your in-depth knowledge to proactively prioritise and de-conflict any clashes
- Be responsible for managing high volume inboxes, by using your breadth of expertise to action incoming emails in a timely and professional manner
- Be accountable for arranging travel, including forecasting costs, processing of expenses, and complying with our trade control and gift/hospitality policies
- Collaborate within your business area to support your directors on compiling and preparing reports, presentations and correspondence, aligning to our monthly reporting cycle
- Be curious and lead on ad-hoc projects / complex assignments, including developing and implementing process improvements
Essential experience of the Executive Assistant,
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Experience continuous improvement, streamlining & automating internal processes
- Removing obstacles, finding simple solutions whilst resolving conflict and disputes
- Attention to detail and problem-solving mind-set, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
This role provides flexible hybrid working with one to two days per week in the office.
Qualifications for the Executive Assistant,
- A minimum of A levels or equivalent vocational qualifications
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
