Exams Officer / Administrator
Term Time only plus* – 37.5 hours per week (8.00 – 4.00 daily)
H5:9- H7:23**(Fringe) £23,194 - £30,151 + £663 FTE / £20,095 - £25,955 Pro-rata **depending on skills and experience

We are seeking to appoint a diligent and dedicated person to the role of Exams Officer and Administrator to lead the administration of our examination function and associated activities. *Primarily a term time role, there will on occasion be a requirement to attend additional paid dates outside of term time, including the day before and of public examination results and some inset days.
In addition to ensuring the smooth running of examinations and exam related functions, the Exam Officer duties can include: supporting the supervision, recruitment, deployment and support of staff and invigilation teams, ensuring all correct exam entries are in place in advance of deadlines, managing a team of invigilators during school wide examinations, overseeing the management of student data for registrations, exams, claims, audits and funding returns.
Can you demonstrate an excellent attention to detail and experience of working accurately to external and internal deadlines? Do you have experience of managing and maintaining confidential information and data in a secure environment, experience in the use of SIMS or similar, inputting, extracting and analysing relevant data, and designing user friendly reports? Do you have an eye for detail and a proven ability to understand and meet deadlines and regulatory requirements? You will be an excellent communicator, and be able to liaise with teachers, students, parents and examination boards in respect of examination requirements, entries, results and communication ensuring that the School adheres to all Awarding Bodies' regulations.
The peak periods in the role of Exams Officer are by nature fluctuating throughout the year, and as such the role will be dovetailed to the role of Administrator or other role(s) of a commensurate level of skills and responsibility as required to meet the needs of the school from time to time. Such role or roles to be discussed at interview and mutually agreed, and may for example include SLT administration, data, Key Stage administration or student facing roles. The right candidate would have a can-do flexible approach to problem solving and the allocation of roles and resources such as will be required to meet the needs of the school throughout the year.
Experience of working as an Exams officer / Administrator or similar organisational role / regulatory framework role in a school or other setting is desirable, although not essential.
