Exams Invigilator (Brighton)
Job type: flexible mostly weekend work; some weekdays.
Start date: ASAP.
Pay: £10 plus 12.07% holiday pay.

The position:
We are looking for 5 new invigilators to help administer IELTS (English language) exams on Saturdays, and some weekdays at our Brighton test venue. It is a busy environment and can be a stressful day for our test takers, so this role will suit people who are calm and approachable, with a good sense of humour.
We are looking for 5 new invigilators to help administer IELTS (English language) exams on Saturdays, and some weekdays at our Brighton test venue. This role would suit someone looking for flexible part time weekend work. On average, invigilators work 1 or 2 days each month.
Invigilators report to the Chief Invigilator, who coordinates the test on the day.
Job description:
- Preparing the room, i.e. putting up clocks, start and finish time notices, seating plans.
- Registering test-takers as they arrive.
- Admitting test-takers to the exam room in a quiet and orderly way.
- Conducting the exam according to the regulations of the exam provider
- Being constantly vigilant to ensure exam regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Returning all confidential materials to the Exams Officer at the end of the test.
- Commitment to safeguard and promote the welfare of our test takers.
Person specification:
- Good command of the English language.
- IT literate and a good eye for detail.
- Great customer service skills.
- Willingness to undertake training.
- Punctual and reliable.

Successful candidates will then be offered roles, subject to reference checks. You will get support from our head office Exams team and all the training will be provided.

We will then send you an availability request email at the start of each month. You let us know when you are available to work and we will schedule you in for work.
Pay information:
- Payments are made a month in arrears, provided you submit a timesheet by the 28th of each month. The rate of pay per hour is £10 plus 12.07% holiday pay.
