Job description

We are seeking to appoint a several Examination Invigilators to join our team based at Worth School on a casual basis. As an Exam Invigilator you will be providing support to the examination process and further supporting the Examinations Officer with the day-to-day operation of examination venues.

As an Exam Invigilator, your responsibilities would include:

  • Assist with setting-up examination venues by laying out stationery, equipment and examination papers in accordance with strict procedures
  • Assist candidates prior to the start of examinations by directing them to their seats
  • Advise candidates about possessions permitted in examination venues
  • Ensure that candidates do not talk once inside examination venues
  • Invigilate during examinations, dealing with queries raised by candidates and dealing with examination irregularities in accordance with strict procedures
  • Check attendance during examinations

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to understand and adhere to Child Protection and Safeguarding legislation (essential)
  • Demonstrate effective verbal/written communication skills (essential)
  • Experience of working in a senior school or higher education environment (desirable)
  • An understanding of examination processes (desirable)
