Job description
In order to give our students the best environment and opportunity to perform in their Pre-Public Exams (formally Mocks) and their external exams we need a team of people who are calm, efficient, and fair to ensure they run smoothly. We are looking to increase the number of invigilators in our team to support the students during the main exam season May and June 2023, and with PPEs in November, January, March and April and other ad-hoc dates as required.
The right applicants will be team players who are reliable, punctual, and committed to working calmly and vigilantly. No experience is necessary as full training will be given.
The hours and days are variable according to need with morning sessions starting at 08:30 am and 11.15 am and afternoon sessions starting at 1:30 pm with some occasional late finishes after school hours.
Sandhurst School is committed to safeguarding young people. The successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
In November 2017 Ofsted reported that at Sandhurst School:
- Parents are overwhelmingly positive about the support and guidance their children receive across all year groups.
- The headteacher, leaders and governors are committed to improving pupils’ life chances.
- The percentage of pupils, including disadvantaged pupils, achieving a strong grade in both GCSE English and mathematics has improved significantly in the last academic year.
- Pupils make good progress in English and mathematics because leaders regularly review and improve the quality of learning.
- The school has a strong culture of safeguarding. Pupils feel safe and are kept safe because staff understand their responsibilities and know their pupils well.
- Pupils are very proud of their school. Pupils are confident, friendly and courteous to visitors and to one another.
