We ran over 100 digital events in 2021, helping to inform and impact on key topical issues facing the public and private sector. Politically independent, we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver events that not only provide useful information but also contribute to important debates and shape cultural change. The Knowledge Exchange Group has three divisions: Westminster Insight, Holyrood Insight and Senedd Insight.
The Role:
Due to continued success and growth in a virtual environment, the Knowledge Exchange Group requires an exceptional graduate, with work experience in a professional environment, to join our dynamic team and become an important part of our expansion.
The successful candidate will be an ambitious graduate (minimum 2:1), looking to work in public policy events. You will have minimum one years’ experience working in events/content production. First and foremost, you will bring excellent communication, analytical and written skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project management from inception to event sign off, and delivery of key targets / deadlines for each event.
- Developing and writing of the event programme from start to finish.
- Desk research and in-depth market research, to ensure viability of programmes, and to maximise each topic.
- Meeting, inviting and liaising with senior-level speakers, to ensure the most appropriate and appealing line up of speakers on events.
· Developing relationships with key industry bodies to assist with research, marketing and speaking opportunities.
- Close collaboration with marketing and operations teams to ensure commercial success.
- Writing copy for marketing materials and website.
- Identification of audience, commercial partners and sponsors.
- Communicating key conference / event updates to the wider team and senior management
- Oversee on-the-day event running, including speaker liaisons and relationship management
Education, Experiences and Competencies:
- Minimum one year content/event production experience
- Educated to degree level, 2:1 minimum
- Flexible team player, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to tight deadlines
- Excellent research, written (including copy writing) and oral communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with ability to multi-task effectively
- Strong interest and/or understanding of government, public sector policy is preferred, but not essential
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
