Job description
We're looking for an Events & Media Sales Manager to manage the sale of partnerships for our portfolio of world class conferences, awards, events and media partnerships.
We work in the online video and TV advertising industry, which we believe is the most interesting, exciting and fun industry on the planet.
Our various event brands are supported by our leading trade publication, and are a blend of conferences, awards, occasional social events and luxurious executive getaways in places like Barcelona, Florence and San Sebastian. Our industry is very social and is a lot of fun, whilst also being one of the fastest-growing areas of media and advertising.
You will work from our office in Farringdon in a small team that is friendly, supportive and close-knit, and we take pride in delivering the best events in the industry. We are currently working in a hybrid model with approximately two days at home and three in the office, but we'd be open to candidates with prior industry experience working from home more than that.
Your Qualities
- You will be highly driven and have a top tier track record in sales, ideally in selling sponsorship packages for conferences, awards ceremonies and/or media and advertising.
- You will be exceptionally well-organised when it comes to managing and updating CRM systems as you go, and take a strategic focus to optimising revenue generation for each product you sell.
- You will be a 'people person' and enjoy working with our partners and our team. Integrity is paramount for us and your sales approach should be an honest one.
- You will have a natural enthusiasm for event organising and for getting things done - a 'can do' attitude is a must. We want you to be as passionate about your work as much as we are about ours.
- You will have a genuine commitment to excellence and appreciate the importance of having an eye for detail - and then delivering on it in practice.
- A social conscience and an ethical backbone will serve you well. Our events help guide the future of publishing, TV and as a result companies are able to fund important journalism and independent media. We are also working on ways to make our events more environmentally sustainable.
- You will have excellent IT skills, writing skills and numeracy.
The basic salary will be £50k depending on experience, which could go up to £120 with bonuses, depending on performance.
