Climate Group is seeking a proactive Events Executive to join our busy Events team. The post holder will support the planning and execution of Climate Groups global flagship events including Climate Week NYC, the largest climate event of its kind.
Strong project management, organisational and communications skills will be key to contributing to our high-profile global events portfolio. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Events Executive to support our Events team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the planning, organising, and execution of a variety of global events, from small roundtables to large-scale conferences. The Events Executive will work closely with the Events team to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality events that meet the needs of Climate Group and drive forward climate action. They will be part of an integrated comms team, and at times will get the opportunity to support other comms colleagues in their areas of work.
Key responsibilities will include:
Support the Events team with the internal project management of the event, creating project plans, timelines, record-keeping and ensuring teams across the organisation are aware of the deadlines.- Assist in the planning and coordination of events, including venue finding, supplier sourcing, catering, audio-visual, and transportation logistics.
- Prepare event materials, such as agendas, invitations, nametags, and handouts.
- Support on-site event management, including setup and registration.
- Provide timely and accurate communication with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and guests to ensure a smooth event experience.
- Create a whos who document to showcase our VIP delegates for each event that can be shared internally with our CEO and Directors to help them understand who is attending the events.
- Upload content and speaker information onto our event platforms including Climate Groups website.
- Support with personalised email follow-ups to our senior-level delegates to invite them to our events.
- Assist with post-event evaluations and reporting, including collecting feedback from attendees and analysing event metrics.
- Help to maintain our speaker and delegate data ensuring our databases are kept up to date and GDPR compliant.
- Work collaboratively and support with other teams to help ensure events works for our wider comms and strategy objectives.

Essential:
Commitment to the mission of Climate Group.- Strong self-organisation and project management skills, ability to multi-task to deliver multiple activities simultaneously and to strict deadlines.
- Strong communications skills to support close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A team player with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible approach to problem solving.
- Detail-orientated with strong command of the English language, writing and grammar skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Pardot, Adobe InDesign/Photoshop would be an asset.
- Experience working in an international organisation.
- 1-2 years of experience in event planning.

Youll be based in our London head office near Tower Bridge (SE1 2NQ), a 12-minute walk from London Bridge station and enjoy the benefits of flexible and hybrid working: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

This is a full-time, permanent position. The salary offered is £23,180 - £25,750 per annum, based on experience.
