The Events Director will be responsible for hiring, training, disciplining and evaluating all event/banquet employees. Aside from orchestrating activities among different departments, the Events Director also ensures that customers have a satisfying event experience. This position will also lead and delegate as necessary to achieve objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service, satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, safety and sanitation for the Event Center.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INCLUDE:
- $64,480-$78,750 annually, based on relevent experience to the role. Full-time hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Banquet operations in a country or golf club or Director level position at high-end, resort-style, family-oriented club, hospitality, or event facility.
- In depth understanding of upscale large service event management through the eyes and experience of the client and industry peers
- Read, comprehend store level financial reports and be able to impact the report data through strategic operational decision making.
- Budgeting and analysis skills
- Employee training and coaching skills
- Familiar with large service number food preparation, kitchen operations, and recipe and menu development.
- Knowledge of facility equipment including kitchen, ball room amenities, AV, HVAC, etc.
- Knowledge of hotel operations a plus including personnel and labor relations, quality assurance programs and long range planning.
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
- Requires a working knowledge of banquet/catering food and beverage services, policies and operations.
- Flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Minimum three years in an operational leadership or management capacity within hospitality industry involving events.
- Specific experience in service and customer retention
- Previous authoring, implementation, and training of Standard Operating Procedures and training materials
- Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- POS, CRM, Inventory control, event scheduling software systems
- Payroll management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer handling skills
- Excellent problem resolution skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Able to handle multiple programs, events, or assignments along with day to day floor duties
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Friendly, outgoing, energetic, enthusiastic and motivational
- Honest and ethical

- Strong leadership skills
- Education in field or related business preferred.
- Knowledge of all laws pertaining to the industry, including labor laws.
- Knowledge of company established standards of service, alcohol service, manuals, training guides and other policies.
- Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) required;
- Manager level Food Handler required
- Occasional bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking and reaching with both hands.
- Noise level may be moderate to high at times.
- Indoor and outdoor operations with exposure to the outdoor elements at times.
- Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
