The Executive Office is a friendly, helpful and innovative team that works to support colleagues across the School, providing assistance and disseminating information to staff while managing the day-to-day business of the School. The Marketing and Communications Team looks after the Medical School’s outward facing image, runs the social media and supports student recruitment activity. This role will work closely with both the Executive Office and the Marketing and Communications Teams, linking activity to produce high quality events for our staff. Varied and challenging, this role will lead on a wide range of events, large and small for specific target audiences and objectives.
Role
Working across two established teams, you will have a specific role to deliver a programme of internal events for the Hull York Medical School throughout 2023 as the Medical School celebrates its 20th Anniversary. The successful candidate will have excellent planning and organisation skills and experience of events coordination. They will be a self-motivated and a skilled communicator, comfortable using initiative to resolve issues as they arise.
The hours of this role can be flexible we are looking for someone to work 4 or 5 days per week. The successful candidate will be based at either the University of Hull or the University of York campus, dependent on their preference. The School operates a hybrid working model, with a mix of office working and working from home. Due to the nature of the role, travel to other sites is expected from time to time. There may also be an infrequent requirement to work evenings to support events.

- Experience of events management

- Level 3 qualification
