Events Coordination Officer, Climate Diplomacy and Geopolitics
E3G is hiring an Events Coordination Officer to contribute to E3G’s work on driving climate change action through diplomacy and foreign policy. This post will be based in London but we are open to other locations for the right candidate.

The role
The aim of the Climate Diplomacy and Geopolitics Programme is to shape diplomatic coalitions and strategies to build the global institutions and political will to drive faster climate action. This role will sit at the heart of the Programme to support our events and project management and help organise events and conferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Support strategic planning and logistics for E3G delegations at multilateral events including targeting bilateral meetings, logistics support, briefing preparation on major topics.
- Support event planning and execution for convening a of policy makers and political figures.
- Support liaison with E3G’s other programme teams (attending external events) and E3G’s operations teams.
- Perform administrative support activities to facilitate internal/external engagement efforts.
- Support the work of the Climate Diplomacy and Geopolitics department and collaborate on team management and activities.
Experience and skills
- Demonstrable experience in event management and project-oriented administration.
- A degree and/or exceptional organisations skills and enjoyment about performing administrative and organisation tasks.
- Great communicator, confidence to interact with high level internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills and impeccable written and spoken English.
- Experience of working in climate change or environmental organisation would be an advantage as this would bring awareness of climate change governance, processes and key figures.
Further details
The salary range for this role in London is £26,000 to £34,320 per annum. Salaries will be based on experience and qualifications.
This role is offered on a 1-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of further extension. E3G operates a flexible working environment, with staff expected to come to the office at least twice a week on average.
Other E3G offices may be considered. E3G will require candidates to demonstrate that they have the right to live and work in the jurisdiction in which E3G employs them. E3G is unable to provide relocation assistance or visa support.
