As an Events Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of exciting and dynamic events that will leave a lasting impression on attendees. You will work closely with a team of professionals to ensure that all aspects of the event run smoothly and efficiently, from initial planning to post-event analysis.
To succeed in this role, you should be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team. You should also be creative, with a keen eye for design and the ability to think outside the box.
Key responsibilities for the Events Assistant will be:
- Working closely with the Event Manager
- Actioning any changes that are requested or arise ahead of the event at speed and with precision
- Managing invoices and payments, with the support and guidance of the Event Manager
- Ensure the Event Managers and Head of Events are kept up to date on all aspects of event delivery.
- Keep abreast of trends within the sector, spotting new opportunities to develop the events portfolio
- Connect and build rapport with guests at every possible opportunity. Going the extra mile for return clients.
Experienced required to fulfil the role of Events Assistant
- 1-2 years of customer facing experience, ideally in a high pace, high energy setting
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management
- A gregarious personality
- Advanced level of MS Office
