Direct line report: Events Director
Job type: Full time, permanent Monday – Friday. Hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office.

We provide charities with essential information, expert analysis and thought leadership through live events, training courses and high-quality printed and digital publications. Job role
This is an exciting role for an ambitious, personable and organised individual who wants to start their events career. 80% is entry-level events tasks that are essential to ensure the smooth running of event logistics and providing admin support to the wider business, and
20% of this role will be dedicated to career development. Civil Society Media has a strong track record of developing and promoting staff within the business.
Our programme of events includes:
- Annual conferences (c.7 per annum)
- The Charity Awards (a black-tie dinner & awards presentation)
- Charity Investment Forum (a sponsored residential event)
- Online training programmes (c. 35 per annum)
Responsibilities
With direct line report to the events director, the events assistant will have responsibility for:
- Administration and management of training course portfolio: Planning training calendar, processing delegate registrations. Delegate and course leader liaison.
- Managing training course on day and processing all delegate feedback.
- Delegate management: managing enquiries, payments and liaising with delegates throughout the entire registration process. Accurately inputting delegate registrations, producing weekly reports and carrying out research where required.
- Managing of delegate management system: setting up of events, updating, and correcting information, recording all delegate information onto the CRM database.
- Creating and management event app: compiling content for event app.
- On-site assistance and support at all events: in particular, management of delegates and registration desk. Assembling stands and assisting with event logistics to ensure smooth running on the day.
- Supporting Head of Event Logistics and Events Director where necessary with planning and organisation of conferences and the Charity Awards.
