Work with us at Riverford and join a thriving employee-owned business
- Be part of a friendly, inclusive & engaging team
- Lots of opportunities to learn & grow
- We’ll give you an abundance of free organic fruit and veg, an annual tax-free co-owner bonus, and a bounty of benefits, including low-cost, home-cooked organic breakfasts and lunches
This is an exciting and varied role within the People (HR) Team, you’ll be working with the Head of Internal Communications & Engagement, and the Internal Communications & Engagement Specialist, taking ownership of this area to drive creative and beneficial events that will increase engagement and enhance our reputation as a world class place to work
At Riverford, you’ll be working within an employee-owned company which really values its co-owners and puts people at the heart of the business. Riverford now has over 900 co-owners, who work across multiple sites and a wide range of sectors. We have strong values and believe we’re already a great place to work – but we aspire to be exceptional. This role will be key to helping us achieve this.
What you’ll be doing…
No two days are the same in the Engagement Team. In the morning, you could be having a call with an events venue for a big Christmas party, and then speaking to our partner charity Ripple Effect for an update about the project we’re currently supporting in Uganda. Come the afternoon, you could be working with our People Business Partners about an upcoming co-owner pulse survey.
You will need to enjoy a fast-paced environment, with multiple work streams running at the same time; this role offers huge variety for a highly organised people-person. You will have a passion for engagement and how it enables co-owners and contributes to the success of the business.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in an events or employee engagement role, ideally within a multi-site environment.
- Experience of designing and delivering events.
- Previous budget management experience.
- Great communication skills and able to build trusted relationships at all levels.
- A track record of delivering a project from start to successful implementation.
- Able to deliver multiple projects and a program of work simultaneously.
- Experience of working to tight deadlines, under sometimes pressurised situations.
More than just a veg box….
Riverford are mad about organic veg. It’s at the core of everything we do. We love to grow it, pack it into boxes, and deliver it to around 70,000 homes across the UK every week. This takes loads of brilliant people – and working here makes you a ‘co-owner’, since Riverford is employee owned. Success means much more than just profits; we want this to be a place people enjoy coming to work, and a business our co-owners feel proud of! In 2021, we were delighted to be awarded two-star Best Companies accreditation, recognising Riverford as an ‘outstanding’ place to work.
Co-owner benefits
Riverford is a beautiful place to work, with lots of great people – and other perks too. Some of our benefits include: 33 days holiday pro rata (including bank holidays), generous company pension scheme, annual profit share (10% of all our profits are split equally between all co-owners), heavily discounted organic breakfasts and lunches, free organic fruit and veg, time and half on bank holidays, opportunity to take up to two days or equivalent (pro-rata) paid time off to volunteer and free parking.
