The role
Embark on an exciting journey as the Events and Engagement Assistant at the prestigious University of Bristol. In this pivotal role, you'll be part of a dynamic Events and Engagement Team within the Global Engagement Office, playing a vital part in bringing the University's alumni events and volunteering initiatives to life.
As a key player in this vibrant team, you'll support unforgettable events and foster alumni connections that amplify our engagement efforts. You'll be helping to shape and create experiences that resonate, creating enduring memories for both our esteemed alumni and our dedicated volunteers.
Additionally, you’ll help to craft engaging alumni events that leave a lasting impact and igniting the spark for volunteering endeavours that truly make a difference. You won't just support our mission; you'll help define it.
What will you be doing?
- You will support the Events and Engagement teams, this will provide an excellent opportunity to experience working on the delivery of a varied and vibrant programme of targeted engagement, cultivation, fundraising, stewardship and volunteer events and engagement activities.
- You will deliver administrative support to both teams but will be the first point of contact for delivering excellent customer service to our diverse and international alumni audience using a wide range of channels.
- You will be using specific software to update records and segment data for events and engagement purposes
- Provide administrative support for the Events and engagement team
- Provide support to internal and external customers by phone, email, social media and face to face
- Assist in arranging Global Engagement’s important programmes.
You should apply if
- You have excellent organisational and customer service skills, and experience of being responsive to customer needs.
- You have relevant experience of working in a similar administrative role.
- You have the ability to prioritise and manage several different tasks at any one time.
- You have experience of working in an office environment and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
- You are able to work collaboratively with all colleagues and contacts in other parts of the University.
- You have a willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends and to travel nationally is required.
