Chester Race Company are recruiting SIA Door Supervisors for the 2023 race season at Chester as well as Bangor-on-Dee racecourse! Race days are truly something spectacular to be a part of! This role is exciting and varied, you’ll work events at Chester Racecourse, Bangor-on-Dee racecourse, as well as many other events such as weddings, private events, festivals, national televised awards and shows – all at prestigious venues across the region and further afield!

Working as a Race Day Event SIA you will be responsible for:*

  • First and foremost – offering an excellent level of guest experience
  • Conducting searches
  • Monitoring crowd safety and behaviour
  • Upholding our licencing objectives
  • First response to any reported issues mainly relating to control of alcohol and conflict management.
  • Checking tickets and relaying information
  • Directing guest to relevant areas of the venue
  • In the event of an emergency / evacuation you will follow safety protocols & direct guests to exit the venue safely

The successful Race Day Event SIA will have the following:

  • You must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Badge
  • A friendly, approachable, and professional manner
  • Strong customer service skills
  • As a requirement of the role, we will train you in a L2 Spectator Safety qualification, if you don’t hold one already

Our rates of pay *(Below rates are inclusive of holiday pay - the below rates are in affect from 1st April 2023)

18+ £15.50 per hour

Shift availability
Our shifts vary! You are in control of the hours you work via our staff app.
Race days are typically 09:30-17:30, or 15:00-21:30 on evening meetings
(Longer and shorter shifts also available)
