We are looking for a Security Officer to join our team based at our client site based in South West London. The site is a large Museum which is home to many different Historic artifacts. We provide security services to facilitate a range of different events at these wonderful locations. Often hosting celebrity events, corporate events, and standard visitor events, there is never a dull moment and we are looking for both experienced security officers and candidates from a strong customer service background to join us to help provide a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone that walks through our doors. Responsibilities will include acting as a deterrent to any unwanted visitors, monitor galleries, lead on any incidents and provide assistance to any guests/members or Trustee's or Patrons to the Museums. As a Security Officer, you will provide excellent customer service, to ensure the safety of the building, patrons, and staff throughout the event. The officer is to have good standard of verbal and written communication. Main Responsibilities Play an integral role in any emergency including fire evacuation, terrorist incident, dealing with unsocial behaviour, first aid incidents etc. Remain alert and vigilant to activity on the site taking prompt action and early reporting to Supervisor/ Manager of anything of concern to help minimise risk and better ensure that all people, museum collections and assets remain safe and secure. To provide a visible preventative security presence at posts and through patrolling ‘Front of House', galleries, foyers, and perimeter areas including ‘bag search' and ‘Back of House' collections facilities, libraries and other museum areas. To prevent loss, damage and theft to museum collections and other museum assets (including retail stock) by carrying out security duties. What We Want from You Essential Strong verbal and written communication Deliver excellent customer service Basic IT Skills Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary Maintain a high standard of personal presentation Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
