HR and Payroll Assistant who has previous experience in human resources and payroll administration, excellent attention to detail and great communication skills is required for a well-established and leading digital print solution provider based in London.
This is a 50/50 split role covering both HR and Payroll duties.
SALARY: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum + Benefits
LOCATION: London Victoria / Hybrid (2-3 days in the office)
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an HR and Payroll Assistant who has previous experience in human resources and payroll administration, excellent attention to detail and great communication skills.
Working as an HR and Payroll Assistant you will join a small Human Resources Team to provide support with all day to day HR operations and payroll administration.
The HR and Payroll Assistant will provide administrative support with the full employee lifecycle that covers everything from offer stage up until retirement. This role will also own the pension and benefits administration and, most importantly, working closely with the payroll provider ensuring that the monthly payroll process runs smoothly and all deadlines are met.
As the organisation continues to improve their HR fundamentals and basic operations, they want the HR and Payroll Assistant to support them with Employee Experience projects to support the Human Resource Strategy. This role will be varied with lots of exciting challenges, and the organisation are looking for someone who is proactive and feels empowered to manage their own workload.

DUTIES
Provide administration support across the full employee life cycle
Own the payroll administration; collate and processes all monthly payroll changes
Update the payroll system and pension and benefit providers with any employee changes
Complete any payroll related reporting as required
Be the first point of contact providing guidance and support to employees for all HR, payroll and benefit queries by owning the HR inbox and escalating to others in the team where appropriate
Be responsible for the full onboarding administration process from the moment an offer to a candidate is made leading up to the day they pass their probation
Conduct thorough preemployment checks and support new employees through DBS checks as required
Support employees and managers through the leavers administration process, and support the HR team with any exit interviews that take place
Create and prepare all HR documentation, including (but not limited to) new starters, contract variations, leavers, ad hoc requests as needed
Prepare regular HR metrics reports using the HRIS (headcount, staff attrition, absence etc)
Become a super user on all the internal HR platforms and deal with any system queries from staff and management
Ensure HR data is accurate and up to date by regularly updating the HRIS and employee records
Monitor employee absence and sick leave
Develop strong relationships with people around the business
Support the team with any other ad hoc HR tasks and projects
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in an HR Administrator/Assistant role
Proven experience in payroll administration – a must!
Excellent attention to detail
Highly organised and methodical
Able to prioritise your workload, manage your time efficiently and meet tight deadlines
Known for being an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
Naturally good with systems and have used HRIS before
An advanced user of the Microsoft Office Suite
