Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Event Sales Manager to drive revenue growth through the sale of event services and packages. The Event Sales Manager will be responsible for generating leads, building client relationships, and closing sales for corporate events, conferences, weddings, and other special occasions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in sales, a deep understanding of the events industry, and exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
This role requires a proactive and self-driven individual who can meet ambitious sales targets while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and target potential clients and market segments for event services.
- Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by actively prospecting and qualifying potential clients.
- Conduct sales presentations, site visits, and product demonstrations to showcase event offerings and capabilities.
- Understand client requirements, objectives, and budgets to create tailored event proposals and packages.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to secure event bookings.
- Collaborate with marketing and promotional teams to develop sales strategies and campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understanding their event needs and providing exceptional customer service.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the sales process, addressing inquiries, providing information, and offering solutions.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, gather feedback, and upsell additional event services.
- Develop and maintain a client database, keeping accurate records of interactions, sales activities, and progress.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with the event planning and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of events and client satisfaction.
- Provide clear and detailed event briefs to the operations team, ensuring all client requirements and specifications are met.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the availability of resources, staff, and equipment for event delivery.
- Attend team meetings, share market insights and feedback, and contribute to the continuous improvement of sales strategies and processes.
Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Track sales performance, revenue targets, and key metrics, providing regular reports to management.
- Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify areas for sales growth and improvement.
