Job description
Graphic Designer Wanted
We are looking for a designer to join our team either as a junior, a graduate or as a paid intern.
If you see yourself working for a small, caring and successful agency where you can make a genuine creative impact, then we’d love to speak to you. We’re looking for a multi-talented, adaptable designer to become part of our team and work with national and international clients across all aspects of brand and design.
Job Description
You will join our agency of 6 (designers, developers and administration) and share responsibility in all aspects of design. The way we work means that you will have the opportunity to work on every aspect of output, whether it’s brand strategy, website design and UX, print, signage, packaging or anything else our clients might need.
Your Specialism
As a small team the most important thing for us is to find a candidate who is a good fit. Because of this we will often shape our offer around a specific person’s skillsets. This means that, while we are looking for rounded designers, we also love people with a specialism. So if you have a particular area of interest, be it UI/UX, brand strategy, animation or creating design systems, let us know – we’d love to hear about it.
As an agency we are looking for people who want to become part of our team on a long-term basis, and we reward that by listening to and enacting your vision for our future wherever we can – if you’re into something, we’ll see if we can fit it into the way we work.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who is starting out, or early on in their career to join our team. You will have proven yourself to be a great designer, either through your degree, your early work in the industry or your self-started design work. Our preference is for someone who has either formal training (in design or illustration) or real-world experience working with a team or with clients – but if you have talent we’d like to see your work.
Minimum requirements:
- Passionate about design in all its forms. We can’t stress this enough – and that includes digital.
- Excellent communication, presentation and problem solving skills, and the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to work both in brand and web design.
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Able to learn fast and adapt to challenges.
- The ability to manage your own workload, prioritising and juggling various jobs at a time.
- Must be able to work at least 2-3 days a week from our spacious, central Falmouth office.
Bonus Points (any of these)
- An area of specialism.
- A passion for, and understanding of UX and digital design.
- A passion for, and understanding of brand strategy design.
- Secondary skills – eg animation, photography, film, copywriting etc.
