Event Sales Executive

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Sales you will be part of the team selling private dining, weddings, corporate events, and summer and Christmas parties, generating an annual income of £3M for this world famous venue.

Job purpose

As part of the sales team you will process new enquiries received via email or telephone and produce event proposals demonstrating that our venue meets the client’s requirements. You will be experienced in diary management to chase provisional bookings and utilize your sales and negotiation skills to convert enquiries and provisional bookings into confirmed business.

You will be given the tools and autonomy to negotiate with your focus on the commercial plan, the venues strategy 2030 and the annual target set by Head of Commercial Sales.

To input enquiry and customer data into the CRM and utilise the actions function to follow up on enquiries.

Take an enquiry through to confirmed stage by creating sales proposals, booking contracts and deposit invoices on the CRM.

To develop a good knowledge of spaces on campus and conduct venue site visits across multiple campus’.

To engage with key stakeholders across the venues event spaces such as event service providers i.e, porters, cleaning, security, maintenance and other key departments.

Deliver account management to large regular customers, considering activities appropriate to their potential profitability and stimulating repeat business.

To manage Sales deposit, income and expenditure accounts, recording expenditure, raising invoices, monitoring income and preparing regular financial reports in line with procedure and up to the standard agreed.· To input enquiry and customer data into the CRM and utilise the actions function to follow up on enquiries.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a candidate with 2 years+ events sales experience.

Salary: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
