Event Production Assistant & Warehouse Operative
Based in the Northamptonshire countryside of Long Buckby; More Production are a successful, unique and versatile creative event production company; offering a wide range of event services including, prop and furniture hire, venue dressing as well as bespoke projects and event builds across the UK and occasionally further afield.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, hands on, and reliable Event Production Assistant to become a part to full time and permanent key member of our growing dedicated team to help us deliver 100’s of exceptional events every year.
Within our team, no two days are the same, and you actively plan for and respond to anything that’s thrown your way.
Our warehouse is packed full of all things weird and wonderful such as Eiffel Towers and Grizzly bears (don’t worry he’s not real) through to over 5000 pieces of furniture combinations (not your standard warehouse) Within the warehouse you play a crucial role dealing with them all, working alongside our talented production team picking, packing and loading the right products and ensuring they all get to the right jobs at the right time. It’s a vital part of our supply chain and it makes for fast-moving, busy and varied work.
Duties:
* Assist in the loading/unloading of delivery vehicles.
* Packing
* Picking
* Stock control
* General warehouse duties
* Stock management of consumables and advising operations and project managers of items that need replenishing.
* Maintenance and repair of existing products ensuring they are fit for purpose.
* Assist production manager with the production of bespoke build aspects within the workshop as well as providing on site installations and removals.
* Any other adhoc duties
What we value:
* Have a full UK driving licence & feel comfortable driving a large van – Driving can form a fair part of our work and therefore all candidates must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
* Must be fit & healthy - The work involved is of a physical nature and will require a reasonable level of fitness.
* Team player - Even our senior men get their hands dirty so we would expect you too.
* Must be able to work flexible, unsociable hours - Due to the nature of the business & the industry, overtime with evening, weekend, night and working away is a regular occurrence.

* Previous experience of working within a similar field.
* Additional training will be provided where necessary, but any additional experience and qualifications in sewing, upholstery, rigging, IPAF, set build & draping, would be most advantageous.

Being based in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside does make us somewhat not so easily accessible via public transport, so personal transport is quite crucial.
Hours: Basic 37.5 hour per week, working 5 days out of 7. Due to the nature of the business & the industry, additional hours / overtime is a regular occurrence.
Wage: - Starting £9.50 - £11 p/h depending on experience (+bonuses)
+ scope to develop further to higher roles.
