Job description
Are you an experienced events producer looking for your next challenge?
Do you want to work for an exciting social change organisation with the mission of enabling people, places and the planet to flourish?
With our new Design for Life strategy we are embarking on the next chapter in our 260 years’ strong history of social impact, with a range of interventions to unite people and ideas to turn world changing ideas into world changing actions.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an Events Producer to join our ambitious public events team and help us achieve real impact.
The RSA Public Events programme is a powerful public resource, bringing world-leading ideas and inspiration to global audiences, and featuring world-class speakers - leading public thinkers, policy influencers, changemakers and innovators who are shaping new movements for positive social change. We are the team behind the award-winning RSA Animates and RSA Shorts series, and our event videos, podcasts and animations are followed by over 770,000 YouTube subscribers. In this role, you’ll take responsibility for end-to-end production of a range of public events, including keynote lectures, festival talks, panel discussions and “in conversation” events, as well as for researching and developing new content and new formats for public engagement. This is an exciting time for events as new online and hybrid formats create new opportunities to unlock learning and creativity in more people than ever before.
This role is based from RSA House in London for at least three days per week, with hybrid flexibility for the remaining days.
About You
What we look for in a successful Events Producer candidate:
- Significant relevant experience of event planning and production.
- A keen eye for speaker talent, fresh and diverse voices, and new thinking in public and policy debate.
- Excellent proven writing, research and editorial skills, with an ability to adapt complex content into accessible and engaging formats.
- Good knowledge of social innovation/publishing/media/culture/current affairs and ideas landscape, and a demonstrable ability to build strong relationships with the relevant key influencers in these fields.
- A demonstrable interest in and commitment to the RSA’s Design for Life mission.
