Oxford University
Full Time Oxford, England 52841 - 44414 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Contract type: Fixed Term – until July 2024, with a start date as soon as possible
We are seeking a highly experienced event management professional with a proven track record of delivering successful events, to join our small, friendly team.
Reporting to the Head of Events (a job share), you will have responsibility for the strategic input, planning and project management of a range of major events, including in-person, hybrid and online, running concurrently, which are critical to the University’s reputation and operations.
The Oxford Events team has had an exceptional few years, pivoting a programme of high-calibre events to virtual, and running a greater concentration of nationally and globally significant events than ever before. They have delivered the University of Oxford’s ceremonial events and other core activities, run events and VIP visits to acknowledge the University’s hugely successful vaccine work, hosted the delivery of the G7 health summit, and organised events to celebrate the launch of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s Women’s History Chair as well as the arrival of Oxford’s new Vice-Chancellor in January. Alongside this they have been managing the University’s many staff engagement events.
Alongside extensive event management experience, you will have strong communication skills, adept at conveying key information to all University members of all levels of seniority. You will bring an insight-led approach to advising seniors and will have well-developed interpersonal and advocacy skills, employing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
Not many events roles experience as much prestige, interest and variety as the events our team has the privilege to run.
This is a fixed-term contract to cover a sabbatical.
