The Lysaght Institute is one of Newport’s most iconic venues offering a high quality service in facilitating corporate, celebration and wedding events. We offer a stunning backdrop, complete with suppliers to cater for all our events and conferencing requirements.

Fitted with state of the art audio visual equipment, our facilities include small to large sized 1920s Art Deco style function rooms, original balconies, and beautifully landscaped gardens.

The newly refurbished venue has gone from strength to strength and is now a renowned Events Centre to Meet, Learn and Celebrate!

You must be able to work to tight deadlines and be able to make decisions and work using your own initiative. You will be responsible for the direct operation of all large events and be a strong team player, most importantly have a positive attitude to support your colleagues and guests and the willingness work in a busy environment.

Our ideal candidate will also have awesome event ideas to excite our audience.

In the absence of the venue manager, you will oversee the whole operation events, so you will need to be confident in leading a workforce!

The role is part time with the hours primarily being evening and weekend work with occasional day shifts when necessary.

What we will offer in return:

  • Wellbeing support
  • Perkbox benefits
  • Dedicated learning and development team
  • Full training
  • Free DBS
  • Free Uniform
