Position Overview:
Our Goldfish locations in the Raleigh/Durham area are looking for creative, self-motivated, and dynamic candidates with a passion for engaging with the community to join our team as a Social Media/Marketing/Events Manager. This position is remote flexible but would be expected to report to all of our Goldfish Swim School locations in the Triangle area (Cary NC, Chapel Hill NC, and Wake Forest, NC) and surrounding town events for content creation, events, and community engagement.

This position is currently expected to be part-time but could develop into a full-time position.

This posting will close on July 27th, 2023 and applicants will be selected for interviews shortly after.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain social media presence, tracking engagement and trends and responding to customer service requests and collaborations
• Brainstorm and research ideas for original content and develop new strategies for increasing engagement
• Research, schedule, manage, and attend in-school and community events
• Organize B2B, non-profit, and educational partnerships
• Coordinate themed weeks throughout the year, such as Water Safety Weeks and Member Appreciation Weeks
• Manage member communication, including monthly newsletter and event notifications

Job Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to establish and maintain relationships with external and internal audiences
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple calendars and accounts
• Experience with Adobe (or other photo/video editing software) and Microsoft Office
• Proficient knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook; experience with any social media scheduling platforms is a plus
• Good understanding of photography and videography
• Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging content that aligns with our brand guidelines
• Ability to travel between Goldfish Swim School locations in the Raleigh/Durham area and surrounding communities
• Must pass background examinations prior to beginning employment
