Job Title: Sales & Events Executive
Reporting to: Sales & Marketing Manager

Scope of Job:
Responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience through efficient operation of events, birthday parties and buy-outs. Expected to provide effective client outreach to generate new sales as well as maximising revenue to produce daily, weekly and monthly sales in line with annual budgets whilst keeping the highest standards of both The Bigshots brand and Health and Safety.
Main Responsibilities:
Job Purpose
- Be the face of Bigshots events and develop relationships with clients to create repeat bookings.
- Lead on the after-care of clients through follow up phone calls, recovery where appropriate and gaining positive feedback via online platforms.
- Managing operational challenges of running successful operations on any given event across Bigshots.
- Manage successful booking and delivery of all catering of events and parties.
- Lead training and development of Bigshots hosts and cross training of reception and F&B team to support when and where possible.
- Support the F&B / duty managers to lead a positive and professional team with focus on guest satisfaction and delivering exceptional food quality and food service.
- Motivate staff to create a friendly and warm environment for all event guests.
- Positively approach all sales opportunities to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Generate new business by introducing new clients to the venue.
- Upselling events and additional package add-ons to existing members.
- Ensure compliance throughout all areas with health and safety and food hygiene operating standards by completing required documentation.
- Adhere to and monitor all normal operating procedures within the wider site operations.
- Provide support in other areas of Bigshots operation, if required.
1. Operations
- Creating and delivery of quality standards in line with the NOP’s.
- Responsible for driving the team to achieve positive feedback from all event guests.
- Ensure routine maintenance is carried out in your area of responsibility, reporting any damage.
- Ensure completion of on-going departmental cleaning schedules on daily and monthly basis.
- Ensure compliance with, and readiness for, all external Health & Safety and Food Safety audits.
- Work with team to ensure effective delivery of F&B to all booked parties within Bigshots.
- Work with team to ensure effective delivery of F&B to all events within Bigshots.
- Respond to all enquiry emails within reasonable timeframe (3 days).
- Effectively manage all bookings via phone on sales and enquiries lines.
- Respond to all other requests for bookings via mutliple channels where required.
- Financial
- Responsible for generating new business through outreach activities and new partnerships.
- Lead on selling all in-house packages and events such as sporting fixtures and Christmas packages.
- Lead on birthday party sales to deliver bookings in line with targets.
- Ensure all F&B requirements for each event are adequately stocked to fulfil needs of booking and support guest satisfaction.
- Responsible to controling cash / stock loss from the business.
- Drive introduction of new products / services to increase department revenue.

- Complete duty manager shifts for personal and business development.
- To be fully conservant with and adhere to Bigshots Policy on, Fire & Evacuation, Security procedures, Health and safety policy, Personnel and training procedures.
- Take ownership of projects assigned by managers to develop the existing proposition.
- People
- Ensure effective cover of all events and birthday parties through use of Bigshots staff ensuring that shifts are fair and compliant with young workers policy.
- Support with the recruitment of the F&B team where required.
- Lead the cross-training of team members to support in events where required.
- Reward and incentivise staff members to effectively improve guest satisfaction.
- Ensure team members embrace the full Bigshots offering to enable them to answer guest queries fully and enthusiastically.
- Health & Safety
- Responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety & Security within the catering team, in line with the H&S Policy. In particular, ensuring that risk assessments have been carried out, that safe working procedures are in place for all work activities and that all employees in their teams are aware of the Health, Safety and Security procedures and their obligations under
Hours of Work
- This post covers a Monday to Sunday operation where the job holder must be available across all opening hours on a flexible basis to cover events and support the wider operation when required.
- No working from home required.
