Introduction
Lead the IDT support for UK, France, and some French speaking countries in Africa. This is an ideal role for someone with UK advisory experience who wants to expand their scope to other EU Countries

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Supervise Tax Authority audits/correspondence.
  • Identify areas for process improvement /VAT savings.
  • Provide support and updates to the business on all indirect tax matters including system changes such as ierp implementations and contract reviews.
  • Work with the wider Tax team to support ad-hoc projects.
  • Review VAT returns prepared by CoE.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Extensive post qualification experience in UK VAT advisory and UK VAT compliance roles.Working knowledge of the EU Directives and the ability to apply them
  • The ability to research and advise on new legislation or changes to legislation
  • Tax or Accounting Qualification (preferred)
  • Confident and effective communicator able to work within a diverse European team
  • Experience of dealing directly with Tax Authorities

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Working knowledge of the French VAT rules
  • French language skills
  • Varied VAT Experience in either HMRC, large corporate or an Accounting firm or HMRC
