Job description
Golf Event Manager / Support
Location: Any UK Golf Club - We have a network of golf professionals and enthusiasts we are seeking to build who work on a day to day basis all over the UK. You would have to commit to a minimum of 6 days in a year, so this can be carried out as a sideline activity for anyone looking to expand their CV in golf event management, or just earn some extra money.
Summary
Amateur Golf Tour Limited is a leading UK based golf events company. Established in 2013 we ran our first events in 2014 and we now run over 150 event days per year, and we are planning on continuing our growth into 2024 and beyond. Our key brands are Mizuno Golf Tour, GP Corporate Events and golfpairs.com.
We are seeking reliable, friendly, customer focused and enthusiastic golf professionals or enthusiasts to join our growing network of self employed contractors who run our event days in the UK.
Each event has 3 team members to support registration, running the charity hole, liaising with golf club staff, helping marshaling and ensuring social media is fully covered on the event day.
Events are run across the UK and we are building a network of trusted contractors in various locations to help support events.
The days are long - typically in the height of summer we have 200 golfers attending - so contractors are working from around 06:30 when the first guests arrive to after 21:00 when the last guests finish their rounds. However with 3 staff members at the event the days are not fully customer facing all of this time, and of course in early and later seasons the days are shorter, but we pay a day rate as we are paying for an event management service.
