This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.
Summary of the role
The Events Operations Manager has responsibility for delivering the in-house events operation at the University of Exeter’s Streatham and St Luke’s Campuses. The events streams include, but are not limited to, Concerts, Meetings, Bed & Breakfast, Group Travel, Summer Schools, Functions, Weddings, Residential Conferences, Student and University Promotions in support of the University’s strategic objectives.
You will support colleagues across the organisation to provide a seamless events support service (in-person and/or digital) for internal and external clients making a significant contribution to the experience of students, staff, visitors, and wider community.
Overall, the position will play a significant role in helping to position Exeter as a key Hospitality, Conferencing and Events destination in the South West of England and be responsible for maximising our managed event opportunities.
Candidates will have the experience of working within a proactive commercial team environment with the role requiring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage University stakeholders, external partners, and clients. The successful candidate will be flexible, customer focused, and target driven and enjoy working in a fast-changing paced environment.
