Job description
A leading sports events and fundraising company, delivering experiences to both corporate guests and sporting fans in the UK and overseas is looking for an Event Manager to join the growing team.
The events include (but are not limited to) charity cricket days, corporate dining events and theatre shows with some of the greatest sporting speakers of our time.
This multi-faceted role will involve a mixture of home-based working and joining throughout the UK tour. There is also potentially overseas travel on offer.
The successful applicant will be a dynamic, pro-active, client-focused individual, with strong organisational skills and the ability to apply good attention to detail.
This person will be required to support the existing team with potential for future progression and promotion.
Roles and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
PRE-EVENT
· Managing booking enquiries and ongoing communications for clients, in relation to their attendance at events
· Liaising with host venues in relation to future events
· Ensuring that all event production tools are in place in the immediate lead up to events
· Helping to ensure all freelance staff (international cricketers / sporting speakers / on-site events team) have all relevant information in the lead up to each event
EVENT-DAY
· On-site organisation of promotional materials including sponsor banners and POS
· Greeting guests as they arrive at venues and ensure they are aware of seating arrangements
· Being part of the event team on the day, including supporting any fundraising activities
POST-EVENT
· Contacting clients who have supported the event’s fundraising activities and booking prizes / experiences
· Completing post event reports
· Client data entry tasks
· Updating the business CRM system
ESSENTIAL
· Based in either the South of England, the London area, or the Midlands
· Sound IT skills, with efficient knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
· Experience of working in a client focused environment
· Strong communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
