Event Stock Controller
Central Fusion design and deliver outstanding bar and food solutions for very special events at beautiful locations all over the UK and Ireland.
We have extensive experience delivering food and bar operations at large music festivals, premium events and fixed venues, with crowds spanning from 10,000 to over 100,000 across the UK and Ireland. We operate at over 100 events a year, working in close partnership with festival promoters and prestigious sporting venues.
Within our Procurement Department we are looking for someone to join our team as Stock Control Manager. This individual will be responsible for managing and overseeing all bar stock across several of our outdoor events such as Leeds and Reading Festival, Wireless and Isle of Wight Festival to name but a few. You will also be responsible for each of the on-site stock co-ordinators across all events ensuring that they have the resources and knowledge to carry out their role on site.
The role will be located throughout the UK and Ireland and the majority of your time in summer you will be working in the field at major festivals and events, during planning months the role will be predominantly WFH. The role will require biweekly check ins with the Head of Procurement in Manchester.
Salary: £35,000 per annum pro-rata (Negotiable depending on experience).
Location: Wigan/Manchester, Multiple sites across UK and Ireland.
Working Patterns: Office Hours - Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00
Site Hours – Flexes with hours of event.
Reports to: Head of Procurement
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for recruiting on site stock co-ordinators for each of our events and venues across the UK and Ireland.
- Ordering all required plant equipment with the event operations manager to cover the on stie stock/wholesale department.
- Setting each of the onsite coordinators up with all the resources and ensuring that all the on site procedures for the role are executed.
- Checking that deliveries correspond to purchase orders and once all deliveries have arrived producing a stock delivery shortage report for the Procurement Manager.
- Submitting all delivery/returns notes paperwork onto our online portal.
- Responsible for ensuring that the on-site co-ordinators compile all wastage onto one wastage report across each event.
- Ensuring that the onsite co-ordinators on each of the bars are correctly managing the stock on site as per company policy.
- Ensuring that each of the events carry out an ‘end of night’ closing count for each of the bars.
- Analysing end of night stock take paperwork across all events and working alongside the on-site stock controller to assess if any additional orders need to be placed prior to the following day trade and projecting any overall site-wide stock shortfalls.
- Collating any top up wet stock orders during live show days from each of the event sites and presenting to the procurement manager for purchasing.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Very organised and comfortable working with numerical paperwork accurately.
- Proven experience counting stock in large, high volume fast paced environments.
- Meticulous standards in terms of stock organization.
- Bar experience and the understanding of bar product lines and the relationships between them. Bar experience ideal but not necessary.
- Have a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Stamina to work long hours on festival sites, often late at night, and involving a lot of time on one’s feet.
- Willing to travel to events.
Desirable Skills/Experience:

Due to the high number of applications, we will only be able to respond to successful applicants. This role requires someone with a large amount of flexibility, working 5 days out of 7, to suit the demands of the business.
